Odlo: Born in and inspired by the North

Odlo was founded in 1946 by its namesake, Odd Roar Lofterød (Odlo for short) in Oslo. From its beginnings as a manufacturer of elastic, warmth-regulating cross-country skiing and speed skating suits, Odlo soon developed into a global supplier of technical and versatile sportswear for all seasons. Odlo made its debut as an outfitter at the 1964 Winter Olympics, and to this day, the company still kits out the Swiss cross-country and biathlon teams, as well as the Odlo X-Alpi team. For example, recycled materials are used extensively across the entire product range. 63% of the products are manufactured in Europe (Portugal and Romania) and the Middle East, 50% of which are manufactured in the company's factories. The remaining 37% of the products are manufactured in Asia. All producers have signed the Odlo Code of Conduct – a strict code of behavior. In addition, Odlo has Leader status with the Fair Wear Foundation, which guarantees fair working conditions.
