<p data-start="191" data-end="540">The Surge ST splitboard binding from Spark R&amp;D was developed for riders who demand maximum control and performance in steep, technical terrain. Whether on big mountain lines or deep powder, this binding is the first choice for experienced splitboarders who need to rely on their equipment at all times.</p> <p data-start="542" data-end="987">The solid baseplate, combined with the particularly stiff Asym Rip 'N' Flip highback, is at the heart of this binding. Thanks to its fiberglass-reinforced construction, it delivers quick power transmission and direct response, while the asymmetrical shape and flat upper area allow excellent lateral mobility. The integrated, tool-free Forward Lean Adjuster allows easy switching between uphill and downhill mode. The ST Touring Brackets are made from a clever combination of aluminum and thermoplastic. The plastic is cast directly over the aluminum structure and forms durable sliding bushings that reduce friction and quadruple durability. This system is complemented by the ST Whammy Bar - an integrated climbing aid mechanism in baseplate design that can be switched smoothly between three positions (0&deg;, 12&deg;, 18&deg;).</p> <p data-start="1452" data-end="1777">The in-house Pillow Line straps ensure comfort and control. These are made from a one-piece, lightweight and waterproof material. The asymmetrical, supportive ankle straps securely enclose the boot, while the toe straps can be worn as a cap or in a classic style - just as you prefer. The setup is rounded off by Tesla T1 technology. The binding is inserted into the side of the touring bracket and secured with the snap ramp - without pins or cables. The integrated Ibex crampon connection also enables quick attachment of crampons for particularly frosty passages. The T1 Heel Rest provides a secure hold for the climbing aid and supports the optionally available Step Locker system.</p>
