Description

The Mammut Alugator Ride 3.0 Hoe Avalanche Shovel is optimally prepared for emergency equipment when ski touring.

For space-saving transport in a touring backpack, the robust aluminum construction can be shrunk to a pack length of 68 cm. A telescopic handle with oval cross-section, a straight shovel blade back made of hardened aluminum for the ideal pricking of snow profiles and a T-handle that can be held securely allow efficient shovelling. Due to the variable positioning of the handle, the shovel can also be used as a 90° hoe. The stabilizing ribs increase the resistance enormously.

In addition, the stabilized shovel blade of the Alugator Ride 3.0 Hoe has holes for use as a snow anchor, has a sharpened edge and treads for support with the feet.

All Mammut avalanche shovels are certified by an independent testing institute according to UIAA standard 156. For this, the shovels must pass practical load tests that prove that the shovels are actually stable enough to move snow efficiently in an avalanche.
